Paul and Bernice are a wonderful couple, and we were honored to be able to capture their bridal session. 11 months ago, they got married at the Kemper Center and had a beautiful ceremony on a Monday. We were not able to attend, but were able to capture them 11 months after the fact with a wonderful, intimate bridal session.
One of the nice things about bridal sessions is that the pressure is off. All the chaos that can happen on the day of the wedding has faded, and what you are left with is the love between the two people. On the day of the wedding, we try to take the couple out for a quick 30 minutes before the reception starts and maybe steal them away once the major action of the reception has calmed down, but the nice thing about these sessions is that we get a full two hours to just explore and capture something unique.
Bernice had an infectious smile that we absolutely loved to capture, and Paul was great at being able to bring out that smile and laughter that was so great to experience.
The Kemper Center itself is one of our favorite Kenosha locations to shoot in. There are so many nooks and crannies that are hiding around every bend. Things that you would never suspect to be there, like this beautiful mural hidden away. We love all the textures and colors that were put into it.
As we were walking on our journey, we found beautiful rose petals left over from a different wedding over the weekend that just so happened to compliment the colors that were in their wedding. We had to incorporate them into our shoot!
The Anderson Arts Center right next door made for a beautiful backdrop for our final photos. Overall, we were happy to be able to capture Paul and Bernice in a special session just for them.
