Georgia Wedding Photographers
Alex and Abbie were such a joy to work with. Their love for each other was contagious and their bridal party was so much fun. Oh, and because it was Georgia, it was so. Hot. But that heat did not keep us down!
One of the cool things that we found was that Abbie was actually a Wisconsin transplant just like us! She had moved from Milwaukee and gone to college in Alabama, then moved to Georgia to be with her now husband.
One of her bridesmaids actually hand lettered all of her save the dates and invitations. It was so cool to see the creativity that was showing forth.
We were able to capture a beautiful moment between Abbie and her mom.
Abbie and her girls enjoyed a quick shot together before the wedding started to toast to their new beginning!
Originally their ceremony was going to be outside on the green, but due to a threat of rain and overwhelming heat, they made the call to have it indoors. Even though it wasn’t outside, being surrounded by windows at the Hilton Atlanta/Marietta Hotel and Conference Center allowed for some gorgeous natural light.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the house as their ceremony went on.
All of the bridesmaids took time to admire her gorgeous ring once she got married.
One of our favorite moments of the evening was when we got to steal them away just before sunset. This time, known to photographers as “golden hour,” is a great time to be able to take gorgeous photos and harness the power of the sun.
The entire reception was so much fun. They incorporated glow sticks into the dance floor, so everyone was surrounded by light and laughing the whole time.
Finally they ended the night with a gorgeous sparkler send off.
Again, Alex and Abbie were so much fun to work with, and with their wedding being in Marietta, it was so much closer than most of our weddings here in Georgia.
